‘Privacy Helpdesk’ is our informal on-demand advisory service, in which we can discuss your privacy-related questions and offer informal consulting advice, by phone or email.
Our clients use Privacy Helpdesk for:
- Ad-hoc advice, to answer questions such as:
- Can we collect or use X data for Y purpose?
- Can we disclose X data to Y body for Z purpose?
- Do you see any red flags with using doing X?
- We received a complaint: do you think we breached this privacy principle?
- Should we conduct a PIA for X project?
- Document drafting or review: drafting or reviewing documents from the privacy-related policy suite, including Privacy Policy, data governance protocols, collection notices, consent terms, or data retention schedule
- Comms drafting or review: drafting or reviewing comms (for internal or external audiences), such as fact sheets, FAQs, PAW campaign collateral, briefing papers to boards
- Sense-checks: talking through the Privacy Officer’s thinking about how to respond to an internal enquiry, or an external complaint
- ‘Marking homework’: reviewing draft self-assessments (Maturity Assessments, PIAs, etc) for gaps, or additional risk areas for you to consider, and
- Meetings: Attending meetings as an external expert, to provide support / input.
