Established as Salinger Privacy in 2004, our clients come from Government, the not-for-profit sector and businesses across Australia. In 2024 we joined Helios to form Helios Salinger, combining decades of privacy expertise with a broader suite of governance and risk advisory services.

Key Duties:

  • Support project coordination, documentation and quality assurance activities.
  • Monitor legislative and industry developments and provide insights to support client advice and consulting projects.

Resources, Training and Content Development

  • Support the development and maintenance of privacy resources, templates, training materials and practical guidance tools.
  • Research and contribute to thought leadership content, including articles, newsletters, guides and client communications.
  • Assist with the development of training materials, presentations and educational resources.
  • Maintain knowledge resources and support the team in keeping content current and aligned with regulatory developments.

Client Engagement and Professional Development

  • Build strong working relationships with consultants, clients and stakeholders across Helios Salinger and the broader Source business.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support project delivery, priorities and outcomes.
  • Develop privacy consulting capability through coaching, professional development and exposure to a broad range of client engagements.
  • Build expertise in privacy law, risk assessment methodologies, AI governance and emerging technology issues.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, public policy, governance, business, information management or a related discipline.
  • A keen interest in privacy, data governance, artificial intelligence regulation and emerging technologies.
  • A working knowledge of Australian privacy law, and privacy management frameworks.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and accurate written materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Confidence working independently while seeking guidance when required.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
  • An IAPP certification or a willingness to pursue privacy-related professional qualifications.
